Dr. Douglas Ziedonis: New Executive VP and CEO of Health System
On Monday, Oct. 5, UNM President, Garnett Stokes, PhD, announced the conclusion of our national search for, and the appointment of Douglas Ziedonis, MD as, UNM’s next Executive Vice President for Health Sciences and CEO of the UNM Health System. Welcome Dr. Ziedonis!
Dr. Ziedonis most recently served as the Executive Vice Chancellor at the University of California at San Diego School of Medicine.
Not only will Dr. Ziedonis be our EVP, but he will also be a faculty member in the Department of Psychiatry here at the School of Medicine. I am thrilled to begin the work of advancing our mission with Dr. Ziedonis who begins his position on December 1, 2020.
