Occupational Therapy Educator Workshop: May 21st
OT & OTA Clinicians are welcome to register for this training hosted by the UNM Occupational Therapy program.
The Office for Community Faculty is proud to sponsor lunch for registered attendees at this full-day training for OT professionals of any experience level.
Dermatology for Primary Care Conference: June 4
We know that access to Dermatology in our state is difficult– it is one of our primary goals in the UNM Dermatology Department to train and retain providers. However we also recognize how important it is to partner with you to extend your knowledge base and confidence diagnosing and treating your patients with skin problems in your local community.
Our content will feature interactive, case-based presentations and engaging break-out sessions led by experienced faculty on skin conditions, diagnosis and management in the primary care setting.
We welcome students/trainees as well as providers with a broad range of backgrounds, such as family & community medicine, internal medicine, pediatrics and others. We will also have opportunities for self-assessments and networking.
Can't make it in person?
You can register to attend the morning plenary sessions via zoom! Visit our conference Website to learn more and Register now for this exciting conference! Early Bird registration ends April 29th! Register Now!
The Office for Community Faculty and the UNM Alumni Association partnered to present at the 2022 UNM Health Professions Symposium on April 9.
HPS a Great Success
Thank you to Drs. Macias, Gallegos-Macias, Silverblatt, Bouquin, and Ratmeyer for sharing your "path to medicine" and your "Why New Mexico?" with the students at the 2022 Health Professions Symposium. Your work with students -- both in the clinics and on the panel -- is greatly appreciated.
UNM Community Faculty Member Receives Business Ethics Award
Congratulations to Anjali Taneja, MD, MPH, Family and Community Medicine Associate Professor and Community Faculty member, for being named among the six recipients of the New Mexico Ethics in Business Award.
Dr. Anjali said, "It feels so wonderful to be recognized for ethical work in healthcare, through the work done in: strengthening our vision at Casa de Salud, ER work on the Navajo Nation, local and national work connecting healthcare workers and healers, local and statewide policy and organizing work, and appointments to the Governor's Council on Racial Justice and the Primary Care Council.
